Terms of service
Kidsterr connects people buying and selling used goods. We are not the seller of anything listed here — which shapes most of what follows.
Who can use Kidsterr
You must be 18 or older and able to enter a contract where you live. One account per person. You are responsible for what happens under your account, so keep your password to yourself.
What you may sell
Physical goods you own and may lawfully resell. Describe them honestly: the condition you pick and the flaws you photograph are the basis of the sale, and misdescribing an item is the most common reason a payment is reversed. Not allowed: counterfeits, recalled or unsafe goods, weapons, drugs, alcohol, tobacco, live animals, human remains, stolen property, anything digital rather than physical, and anything a law where either party lives forbids selling. We remove listings that break this and may suspend the account behind them.
How a sale works
A listing is an invitation, not a binding offer, until a buyer places an order or a seller accepts an offer. At that point the contract of sale is between the buyer and the seller — not with us. The buyer is charged when the order is placed and the money is held until delivery is confirmed by the buyer. If the buyer does not confirm, the payment stays held until we settle it — a scheduled process also releases it to the seller three days after delivery, or you can ask us to step in sooner. The seller is paid the price minus our commission, which is shown before publishing.
A seller must ship within the time stated on the listing, or hand the item over at the agreed pickup. A buyer must confirm delivery once the item arrives.
When something goes wrong
Open a dispute from the order. That holds the payment while an operator reviews what both sides say and the evidence in the app. We may refund the buyer, release to the seller, or split, and that decision is final within Kidsterr — it does not stop either of you from pursuing any right you have outside it.
Fees
Buying is free. Sellers pay a commission on a completed sale, shown at publishing time and again on every order. We may change it, and will say so before it applies to a new listing.
Your content
Your photos and text stay yours. You give us permission to display and distribute them within Kidsterr and in promotion of it, which we can end when you delete the content or your account. Do not upload anything you do not have the right to.
What we do not promise
We do not inspect items, verify their authenticity, or guarantee that a listing is accurate or that a counterparty will behave. The service is provided as-is. To the extent the law allows, our liability to you is limited to the fees we took on the transaction in question.
Ending it
Close your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, and will say why unless doing so would help someone evade the rule. Open orders survive closure — they still have to be finished or refunded.
Changes
We will post changes here and move the date above. Continuing to use Kidsterr after a change means you accept it.
